June 2017 Cambria County Health and Welfare Council Meeting Minutes

 The regular monthly meeting of the Cambria County Health and Welfare Council was held on June 7, 2017 at 8:30am at the Alleghenies UCP.

    • Presented a check to the council for Kids-a-Fair (Thank you!)
    • A meeting will be held on Friday June 9th from 11am to 12 pm on the 3rd Floor of the Cambria County Courthouse regarding adaptive bikes that are available to kids in the county for free through the charity Variety
    • July 8 – Chernisky Classic 5K run/walk that benefits the Cambria County Fireman’s Training Facility


Discussion Items

  •  Finance Report was submitted by Liz McGregor and shared by Bridget Hall in Liz’s absence
    •   Membership fees were added to the account  and some payments for Kids-a-Fair and insurance for a newbalance of $9,513.34
  • Kids-a-Fair
    • June 9th from 4pm to 7pm at Trojan Stadium
  • 2nd VP Welcome – We welcome Tyler Torchia as the 2nd VP.



Rachel Allen, CMP, RT 200, Reiki Master, Trauma Informed Wellness Services, introduced herself to the membership.  Rachel discussed self-care practice and compassion fatigue.
